The book printing technology
As a self published author, you control your distribution and we assist you by providing high-quality product and an online fulfillment system. By self-publishing with The Detroit LickHER you take full control of your project -100% of your copyright and 100% of your profits are yours to keep.
The Cost
The Detroit LickHER does not offer expensive publishing packages. We keep costs to a minimum and offer premium services for those who want them. Why pay for services you don’t want or need. Our prices are low but we don't skimp on paper quality and top of the line printing, binding and lamination.
So how do I Self-Publish?
First, download and use our FREE text and cover templates. Save your file as a PDFx, click the Start My Book button, fill a short book detail form and upload your PDF file.

Next you will create your book cover. You can upload a full cover you have created or use our cover generator. The cover art should be in a JPEG, Tiff or PNG format. After you review your book cover and text online and approve them you can place your book order.

What exactly is a no fee bookstore?
If your book printing cost is $2.88 and you price your book in the bookstore to sell at $12.88 the buyer will pay us the $12.88 + shipping and handling, we keep the $2.88 printing price and pay you your $10.00 profit.
Once your profits reach $40, you are paid by PayPal on the 15th of the month for all sales from the previous month. If you don’t reach $40 the payment will roll over until that amount is earned. Checks are issued quarterly and there is a $5 processing fee.
The author determines the retail price, which must be at least $0.01 above the printing cost. The author can change the book price at any time from the Book Dashboard.
Every time a book is sold from the bookstore a copy of the sale invoice (name of purchaser redacted because of privacy laws) will automatically appear in the Book Dashboard to enable the author to track their sales in real time.

HOW WILL READERS FIND MY BOOK?

We at The Detroit LickHER update the search engines regularly as they send their robot crawlers to seek whatever new information we post (your book in the bookstore is new information). So if someone is looking for your book and enters the book title or the authors name in Google or any search engine there is a high probability they will be directed to your book in our bookstore.
Consider that just because an online bookstore is big, like Amazon for example, doesn't give it a preferential search result for their books. With that in mind, doesn't it make more sense to place your book where you pay the least and retain the most? Remember we take no fees, you get 100% of your markup.

HOW DOES THEBOOKPATCH BOOKSTORE COMPARE TO OTHERS?

Most online bookstores such as Amazon or Barnes & Noble which charge up to 55% of the retail price of your book, (and you pay for the printing and shipping from your 45%) we at TheBookPatch charge absolutely nothing and you get to keep 100% of the profit above the printing price. And we do not mind if you sell in the other stores as well.
